Is broken glass covered under warranty ?
location: macrumors.com - date: January 29, 2011
So my friend dropped my iPod touch 4th gen yesterday and the glass was cracked (YOU NEVER HEARD ME SAY ANYTHING LIKE THAT OKAY). Screen appears intact and responsive as per normal though. I desperately hope that such incident is covered under warranty (it was an accident that I took no part in causing). Otherwise, what elaborate lie should I prepare before going to Apple's service center in order that my iPod is repaired/replaced free of charge ? I bought that iPod and a MacBook within the past 3 months so I can't afford charged service right now ... The last straw is to ask my good friend to foot the bill, but it would be really awkward you see ... How much may Apple charge anyway ?
