iPhone 3GS Water Damage - Screen problem.

Originally when I dropped it in the water, my iPhone 3GS wouldn't turn off. I was at a sporting even so I didn't have any way of forcing it to shut off, and no matter how many times I tried to shut it off, it'd always wake back up. I would literally set it down and not touch it and next thing you know, it's back. So after about thirty minutes of trying and then giving up, I finally got it to shut off. It's been in rice for about two days now, and when I turned it on yesterday, there were some crazy things going on with the screen. It wasn't the typical water spots or anything, but my screen was red and yellow, flickering. My mother said it looked possessed.
Now, the phone has returned to normal, for the most part. It's completely functional. I even restored it just to be safe. However, the screen is still acting up a bit. It's fading, I guess you could say. It looks as though there are a lot of white horizontal lines that either move upwards or are just shaking. Sometim

iPhone 4 Loudspeaker Not Working After Water Damage / Screen Replacement
location:
macrumors.com - date:
October 20, 2012
Hi all,
I have exhausted all online resources and have to now resort to submitting a thread myself. I have an iPhone 4 and about a month ago, the phone went into the washing machine. Went into rice for a week, replaced the battery and all good for two weeks where everything was working. Then the screen starts to go.
So, I order a replacement digitizer and screen. First one doesn't work. Second one does. All good. Replaced everything exactly how it originally was which took me several hours.
Everything is now working and I mean everything except for one thing - the loudspeaker (bottom speaker). Headphones work and the top speaker works with ringtones etc. The phone does not think it is in headphone mode – the phone does not seem to be detecting the internal speakers, resulting in no music being played, for example. The volume up and down buttons result in it saying “Ringer” but you cannot see what volume level you are on. W

Iphone 4 Water damage...now showing "Temperature" screen
location:
modmyi.com - date:
November 4, 2010
Recently, I had tripped into a pool (don't ask), and unfortunately my iPhone 4 was in my pocket at the time... The day after it wasn't turning on so I put it in rice and on day 2 it did turn on and it was seemed like there was still water showing under the screen so I turned it off and put it back in the rice... Now today, day 4, it seems as if the phone is free of pretty much all the water but is still showing me the Temperature screen like it did on day two... And the screen also dims out after about 5 seconds until I press the home button. Can anybody help me please????

So my iPhone slipped out of the back of my pocket & into the toilet. Now its been water damaged for about 3-4 hours now & at one time it would allow me to make calls & text messages-the normal- but now that I am home from work, i have a red screen showing on my iPhone. Theres no way that I can take it apart as of now because of the stores being closed already. & the nearest wal mart is pretty far. What do I do? Its currently in a ziploc full of rice. Will that at least do SOMETHING? HELP! HELP! HELP!

iphone 3gs screen dim after water damage. Solutions?
location:

Oh dear. I got water into my iphone during a bike ride and now the screen is dim. I can only look at the phone's display under a light now. I have tried adjusting the brightness with no joy. I can make phone calls, surf the web and can still play music - the back light just won't work! I'm going to leave it to dry out in a warm place. Can an iphone recover from this? Thanks
