Once again, Apple has ranked atop the JD Power consumer satisfaction survey - a position it's grown comfprtable with over the past decade.
For the ninth consecutive study, Apple ranks highest among manufacturers of smartphones in customer satisfaction.
Apple achieves a score of 855 [out of a possible 1000 points] and performs particularly well in physical design and ease of operation. Smartphone satisfaction is measured by several key factors. In order of importance, they are performance, physical design, features, and ease of operation.
Following Apple on the hot list are Nokia, Samsung, Motorola and HTC, each of which scored 793, 792 and 790, respectively.

On Friday, Apple's iPhone returned to familiar territory - atop the highest rankings of a J.D. Power and Associates customer satisfaction survey.
Despite multiple generations of iPhones coming and going through the years, this latest survey marks the 8th consecutive company survey that shows Apple trouncing its smartphone competitors.
