I've seen the OEM pieces on ebay, buy then ones for sale with all of the "sensor" pieces on teh back, if you just bought the glass how would you replace it?

Has anyone successfully replaced just the front glass on their iPhone? I really don't want to buy another digitizer and LCD and rather reuse the original one if possible but all I read is that its glued in. Has anyone removed all the electronic from it and attached them back to another after market one?

iPhone 4S back glass replacement at Apple Store?

Hello everyone, I've been reading around the forums and from what I see, it's $29 to replace the back glass for the iPhone. Anyway, I was bringing in the phone to Apple within the next week in hopes to get a new one because it loses connection A LOT and when I turn on the phone, it takes 1-2 minutes to find my network so I know it has issues. Well, about 2 hours ago, I dropped it and my back glass has one crack in it. My question is this- Will they replace the glass for $29, and then trade me for mine since it's still under the 1 year warranty and it's an INTERNAL issue? Or will they say "Well, it's because you dropped it, so we can't do anything." I just feel they've been getting stricter on replacements since the AppleCare+ warranty came out. My last question is- If they won't replace it, would it be best for me to replace it with one from iFixit or one of those sites and pay $50 ish, and then bring it to them and

Hi guys, Remember me saying about my scuffed glass on the phone. Well I took it to the genius bar at apple today and asked if it would affect the camera. He said he wasnt too sure but unlikely. I asked how much a replacement glass would be and he said £25 and he said its up to you because there is a cost its down to you if you want to get it done so I asked if he had any in stock and he said he thought so but wanted to check. He phoned upstairs and he said he didnt have any in stock but would have to order one and took all my details etc. He said he would also wave the cost as well because I had to come back so im getting it replaced FOC!! So there you go it has been confirmed by Apple the cost is £25 I would post a picture of my paperwork to show you but as mines getting done FOC it shows £0.00 lol

Where to buy Verizon iPhone 4 replacement back glass?

Sorry if this has been asked a million times but I did a recent search and didn't turn up much. I dropped my Verizon iPhone 4 a while ago and shattered the back glass. What are you guys using as reasonably priced replacements? Seen a lot on eBay and Amazon for $10 but no reviews, or reviews saying they're garbage. I understand it's about $30 from Apple, but if I can do it myself for $10 then I'm perfectly fine with that. iPhone back glass replacement

Hi, I have noticed that on the stock iphone 4S back glass, there is a heat sink sticker that is positioned over the battery. I want to replace it with a custom colored back and noticed that the one I bought on eBay for 5 bucks, doesn't have one. Is this important or is it just there for "just in case" purposes? Has anyone had there iPhone 4S's overheat only when their back glass is replaced? Thanks, dhizzy13

Hey, The apple logo on the back of my 16GB phone has gotten a scratch on it...I dunno how cause I've been really careful with it while still waiting for a case from Apple. Is there any sites online selling OEM black glass plate so I can replace it? the back over it super simple to remove as I've seen on youtube vids. eBay only had fakes, not real OEM products. Thanks. P.S. The Apple logo in the glass seems to be really easy to scratch too...
