iPhone 4. Baseband 2.10 Firmware 4.1. Upgrade to 5.0.1 Possible?

So as the title states, I currently have an unlocked (gevey) iPhone 4 with the Baseband 2.10.04 running firmware 4.1. Currently jailbroken. Is there any way to currently upgrade to 5.0.1 and preserve my baseband so I am able to unlock? I heard Apple stopped signing something, don't know what that means. Thanks. If there is a way, can you please share with me? Thank you. -The newbie.
