iPhone 4 with external microphone (Azden SMX-10)

My equipment:- iPhone 4- Azden SMX-10 http://www.azdencorp.com/new/product.php?productid=93733&cat=38&page=1- Microphone/headphone adapter http://www.kvconnection.com/product-p/km-iphone-2trs.htmWhen I plug a microphone into the adapter, it's simply ignored, and the internal microphone is used instead. Is there anything I can do to get this microphone to work with an iPhone 4? I read that an external microphone has to have an impedance of 800 ohms or greater. This microphone has an impedance of 1,500 ohms.Message was edited by: nysus
