My iPhone 4 will not charge from a powerpoint or a computer. It is nothing to do with the charger itself. It displays the 'connect to charge' symbol for a bit and then the 'charging' symbol when i haven't even touched it. What is the problem?

My iPhone 4 will not charge from a powerpoint or a computer. Have tried restarting and resetting it. It is nothing to do with the charger itself because it is able to charge other devices. It displays the 'connect to charge' symbol for a bit and then the 'charging' symbol when i haven't even touched it. The charger doesnt go all the way in either. I think it is something to do with the charging port but dont have the tool to open it up. Please help me out with any advice!!!!

Let me start by saying that I am not a novice at iPhone repair, but this problem perplexes me. I have an iPhone 4 for Verizon, it was dropped once but only cracked the screen (it still charged at this point). I replaced the screen and put it all back together very carefully, as always. Now it will not charge. I thought maybe the battery was damaged upon removal, wouldn't be the first time thanks to all that adhesive.So I changed the battery out with a new one, and still it would not charge. I thought maybe I damaged the docking port/ribbon cable when disassembling, so I replaced the whole assembly and retested with a known good battery. It still does not charge. The connections on the mother board look to be in good condition. It does not connect to iTunes so I can not try restoring it. When the phone is powered off and then plugged in it gets enough power to turn itself on but not charge. I am out of ideas. If there is anyone out there with words of wisdom concerning my dilemma

Started a few days ago. Had trouble connecting on my docking station. Then would not register on either computer, docking station, wall charger, car charger, or multiple wires and died. Cleaned the charging port with compressed air and a pin to remove lint. Worked! Charged it like normal. Now it says not supported charging accessory on everything and will not charge. Plug it in and charges for about 10 seconds, then the battery flashes twice makes its connection noise and brings up the charging message on everything. Did a factory restore, and still did not charge even will conected to itunes. I am running out of options.thanks

Hi everyone, i have a Iphone 4 A1332 Will not charge and shows full charge. I tried resetting it with itunes about 10 times, tried power botton and middle botton restart and yet no signs of charge, if i unpluge it it turns off. Yet when i use it plugged, it shows the icon of full charge on the battery icon, but i selected the option to show the % of battery and it says 3%, this morning i was resetting it again and i fell asleep, when i woke up, i didnt start the reset, yet i found that the phone now has 8% charge on it. witch it drained off now, and its at 3% again.. HELP!?

I swapped my digitizer before I sold my iPhone 4 on eBay. Unfortunately I never checked the charging since it had good battery life on it. Everything else seems to work, proximity sensor and it did make/receive calls. I have had this particular phone apart a few times for various part being replaced. I am familiar with the inside of it quite well. But now it will not charge.
Any ideas?

iPhone 3G 4.0 Jailbroken will not charge in iPod radio

I have an Emerson Alarm Clock Radio with iPod dock connector.
For at least a week to 2 weeks, maybe more, my iPhone 3G worked like a charm in said device, playing music and charging.
Then suddenly for no apparent reason, when I plug the device in, I get the Dismiss button that this device isn't made for the iPhone and the one about interference to cell phone calls, which I say dismiss to both.
But instead of charging, it flip flops between charging and not charging.
The battery light will change to the USB charging icon to not charging, continuing over and over.
The weird part of it all is, the stereo will play the music from the device no problem, it just doesn't want to charge from it.
I can charge the phone using a normal USB cable and the stereo can charge my iPhone 2G 3.1.2 jailbroken with no problems at all.
So the problem is only when 3G mets stereo.
