iphone 4 verizon locked need help

I found a locked verizon iPhone that had the "Iphone is disabled: Connect to itunes" on the screen. I put it in DFU mode and used redsnow to try and take it off. Now it shows the connect to itunes logo. I tried using redsnow and different firmwares to jailbreak it; attempts to jailbreak and then apple logo shows up again and goes back to connect to itunes logo. I need help bypassing the connect to itunes logo. Thanks.
