Can you upgrade an iPhone 5 from iOS 6.0.2 to 6.1.2 as of April 4, 2013?

Hi, I just received a replacement iPhone 5 that is on iOS 6.0.2. Is there anyway to update it to 6.1.2? My backup is from 6.1.1 and i would like to restore it and be able to still jailbreak. I read other posts that you were not able to but I wanted to check if anything has changed as of April 5, 2013. Thanks in advance.

Can I restore the iPhone back to the factory firmware (ios 4) using iTunes and jailbreak it? 3. Can I transfer all the installed apps or cydia tweaks from a jailbroken iPhone to another jailbroken iPhone? Can i - Backup iPhone A first using itunes and after that connect iPhone B and restore by using the backup of iPhone A. It seems won't work. Lol

I have stored blobs for 5.1.1 and 6.1.2. I stitched a new custom IPSW file using iFaith on windows. Can I use redsn0w on my mac to set the phone in pwned DFU and then use Itunes to restore to the new custom IPSW?

So my gf wouldnt let me do the upgrade and jailbreak when evasion came out. i tried to tell her that they would fix it, and a new release would keep me from doing it. she said saw no reason, i told her your gonna want a new app and its going to say you need iOS 6... but hey what do i know. Anyways, it happened and now she wants to upgrade and JB. is she SOL?

I haven't messed around with my jailbreak for quite a while but it seems many of my apps want me to be on IOS 6 now. I see there is a break for 6.1.2 but already Apple is on 6.1.3. Is there a way for me to upgrade to 6.1.2 and apply the latest jailbreak? I have an AT&T Iphone 4 on 5.1.1 (9B206) jailbroken. I have not saved any blobs of any kind (I really don't quite understand any of that stuff). If I am able to do this, is there a good tutorial available? Thanks all!

I've got an iPhone 4 on iOS 5.1.1 that I jailbroke using Absinthe a long time again... I just stayed on 5.1.1 until now. Theres a few apps that I would like to have but i notice that many of them i need atleast iOS 6.X to use them. So, I want to upgrade my jailbrake to 6.X I see that 6.1.2 is the latest Non-7 jailbrake available for iphone 4 (iOS 7 looks like a child's fischer price Learning Tablet to me... my otterbox would make it perfect for teething... im surprised the apps don't giggle when you touch them... anways...) I just have a few questions. Being that I am jailbroken on 5.1.1, whats the best way to Upgrade to iOS 6.1.2, jailbroken? I saw a stickied thread on here about updating to 6.X from 5.X, but in red at the top it says that its not working? What's the method to go from my 5.1.1 to 6.1.2? I also saw the guide for jailbreaking 6.1.2 using evasion 1.5.3, but i know that when a phone is already jailbroken, it's not good to just restore the norma

IPhone 3GS 4.1 won't allow manual upgrade to 6.1.2, why?

Hello, I want to manually upgrade a jailbroken iPhone 3GS iOS 4.1 to 6.1.2 to allow keeping the jailbreak and the unlock (main reason). I already looked for tutorials, and all of them simply say to press "alt" while clicking on "upgrade" in iTunes. I select the IPSW for 6.1.2 (manually downloaded from iosdl.com), and iTunes starts to uncompress it, then installing fails, putting that "This iPhone couldn't be upgraded. This device isn't eligible for the requested build." I also tried to put in in recovery mode, and this time, it fails with an error 1604 (related to USB timing). Why does this supposedly easy operation fails, and how do I upgrade to 6.1.2, but not 6.1.3?

Error 3194 and 1600 while trying to upgrade iphone 4 5.0.1 to 6.1.2

Hello, I have iphone 4 with 5.0.1 (9A405), and I would like to upgrade to 6.1.2. I downloaded the official firmware iPhone3,1_6.1.2_10B146_Restore but normal shift+restore in itunes didn't work. I tried in DFU mode, but it didn't work either. I got error 3194, so I tried to edit the host file (added 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com, restarted my computer, and when that didn't work I added # before that line and restarted, but that didn't work either). I also tried totally removing the host file from that folder temporarily, and disabled my internet connection, but no success either. I downloaded tinyumbrella, activated the server, and this time I bypassed apple's server check, but then I got error 1600! I tried to solve that with iReb, PWNED DFU, but it didn't work (with or without tinyumbrella's server running)... clearly I searched a lot, but that's all I could find. what is the next step to update it to 6.1.2 (it's an unlocked phone, so

Upgrade iPhone 4 from 5.0.1 to 6.1.2?

I understand that Apple no longer signs for 6.1.2, but I read somewhere that there is a way to get around that (possibly) with the iPhone 4? Was wondering if there was any getting it to upgrade from 5.0.1 to 6.1.2... I really need to update (and I am considering doing a tethered update) as my apps crash A LOT because of compatibility issues with new software with old OS... Thanks for any help.
