Hi, I currently have a iPhone 4 jailbroken on 6.1. I got the phone last year and jailbroke it because I wanted certain things like SBSettings and siri at the time. Since then unfortunately my screen cracked a bit and now I don't have a home button either so I had to rely on my activator toggles to get me around the phone. I also like how I can delete launch daemons and I am quite a power user who has things like terminal and stuff. I got the phone on iOS 6 in december 2012. Before that I had a iPod 4th gen jailbroken on ios 4 then 5 so I've had my time on it. When I had that, I remember that I updated to iOS 5 and didn't like it as it was slow and managed to downgrade to 4 as I had jailbroken on that before. Now iOS 7 has a jailbreak avaliable that means I can do all of my things on it and optimize it on my 4 and get activator. Just incase, I wanted to make sure that I could get back to iOS 6.1. I have an iPhone and its running on iOS 6. I dont have a computer with the updated iTunes on it so updating it through iTunes isnt an option. I havent updated my phone because I want to make sure it'll update over wifi. Has anyone updated their iPhone 4 to iOS 6.1.4 over wifi without a computer with iTunes or can anyone answer my question? iPhone 4 update from 5.1.1 to 6.x.x?

Hello!
I have an iPhone 4 which I purchased 2nd hand on the latest firmware (6.1.3), since then I downgraded it via iFaith to 5.1.1 so I could get an untethered jailbreak.
Now, after a few weeks, I've started to regret it, I miss some of the features of IOS 6 (Mostly some subtle UI tweaks which I can't match with theme tweaks on Cydia).
So I was wondering if it's possible for me to upgrade my device to an IOS between 6 and 6.1.2 so I can get an untethered jailbreak?
Few things you may need to know in order to help me out (it's appreciated by the way!);
iPhone 4 (GSM)
Factory Unlocked
Jailbroke via Redsn0w and iFaith (custom ipsw)
My available blobs are; 5.1.1, 5.1.1r1 and 6.1.3.
I'm running a Windows 7 64bit PC
Model of device is MC603B
Baseband is 04.12.05
And it's currently running 5.1.1
I'd really appreciate the help, I'm willing to try pretty much anything.

just a quick one guys, i'm running a iphone4 its on 5.0.1 and firmware 4.11.08..it is jailbroken and runs great... if I update phone to 6.1.2 and then jailbreak again do I have to re-install all my apps that I installed through cydia or do they stay on my phone after updating .

iPhone 4 update to ios7, not working error 21 and 3194

I recently update my iPhone 4 to ios7.At first it worked great but all of a sudden it shut it self down, but I could just start it up again.Over the course of 3 days this kept happening more and more often, until it shut down every time I wasn't doing anything on the device.The day after that it wouldn't start anymore, only when I connected it to a charger it would come on again.Then it would just reboot over and over again, with only the apple logo appearing on screen.When I tried to put it in recovery mode and connect it to itunes it would stop after a while and never fully restore. So I tried the same thing in DFU Mode and did a restore.It didn't work and gave me an error 21 and after a while an error 3194.I have also tried pressing shift + restore in itunes to manually put in an ipsw file, this didn't work as well (probably because of the downgrade restrictions Apple has put up after ios7 came out).

I'm currently running my iphone 4 on the latest available version of ios 6. Reports from friends and colleagues who have updated their iPhone 4 and 4s to iOS 7.0 (first versions) have been strongly discouraging: Their phones became slow to the point of being useless. So, I have been happy with iOS 6.1.3 - until the SSL bug was announced, and then iOS 7.0.6. Now, does any forum member have experience with updating an iPhone 4 to iOS 7.0.6, specifically? If so, what was the outcome, in terms of speed loss?Is it wise to wait until iOS 7.1?Or is it a lost cause - just upgrade to an iPhone 5? Any other comment or suggestion to owners of older iPhones?

Hi all The girlfriend dropped her Iphone4 today and broke the rear cover I called the phone insurance and they are replacing it tomorrow. so i needed to backup her phone and get it ready to be replaced The phone was running IOS5 with no probs. i had no trouble updating it on the original release date either So Itunes told me there was a new update . 5.1 . i transfered purchases and backed the phone up and set it to download the new update.. i came back to find an error message :Restore error 1602 Now the phone is stuck with a picture of the usb lead and that i should connect to i tunes The (Win7) pc no longer recognises the phone either .. I searched lots of forums and tried lots of diferent way to restart the phone . none work . Things like : turning off iphone with top power button and home button

just tried to update my iphone 4 and it went through the whole process and my phone turned on and went through set up and now its saying ' The iPhone you connected may be damaged and cannot be activated for service. We recommend you visit your nearest Apple Store for more information' HELP!!!!
