Update iphone 5 to ios 7.0.4 and JB or not?
location:

I have a JB on my iphone 5 (6.1.2) and everything works fine. What advantages will I have by upgrading to ios 7.0.4 and jailbreaking it? The only essential tweeks from Cydia that I use are IntelliscreenX6, Appcake and WhoIsCalling and I do not know if they will work after the new JB.

Iphone 4s in continuous recovery loop after update to ios 7.0.4
location:
macrumors.com - date:

Hi,
Can someone help please!
Had a jailbroken iphone 4s running 5.0.1 for a long time. Did not have any blobs saved. Thought I would upgrade to ios 7.0.4 and jailbreak with the new Evasi0n tool, and tried to update through the 'settings' icon.
Since then the phone has gone into an endless recovery loop. Tried fixing it by restoring in iTunes 11.1.3.8, but it errors out (unknown error (21)). Tried everything like kicking it out of recovery in TinyUmbrella, Redsn0w, iFaith, etc., Nothing seems to help and I am still on the USB arrow iTunes picture on the phone. There is a lot of tutorials on how to get into DFU mode, but nothing I could find on getting into DFU when in an 'unkickable recovery' like mine.
Any suggestions? Could I have bricked the phone permanently? Thanks.

Just some update.....
.
I think I was able to get into DFU mode (black screen on iphone) and then did a rest

iPhone stuck on Apple logo after iOS 7.0.4 update?!

Hello,
After updating my iPhone 4 via WiFi update this morning I have been unable to boot my phone. After the update my phone went to the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When I connected the phone to iTunes I got an error message saying the phone was in recovery mode. At this point I tried doing a restore, after downloading and extracting I got an error message saying that the restore had failed.
I have tried several times using the power button/home button to reset the phone. The phone restarts but just displays the Apple logo. There are no progess bars or anything other than the Apple logo. The phone will not even switch off!
I have looked online and followed the advice on the Apple pages of trying to reset whilst the phone is plugged in to a charger, as well as pressing and holding the buttons whilst connecting via USB and opening iTunes.
Sometimes the PC will detect the iPhone but when restoring I get "The i

It was plugged in and a pop-up appeared asking to update. I clicked OK and within 1 minute, it flashed a blue screen followed by the 'connect to iTunes' graphic. I'm attempting a recovery now through iTunes and iCloud.

iPhone 4 update to iOS 7.0.4

Hi, I currently have a iPhone 4 jailbroken on 6.1. I got the phone last year and jailbroke it because I wanted certain things like SBSettings and siri at the time. Since then unfortunately my screen cracked a bit and now I don't have a home button either so I had to rely on my activator toggles to get me around the phone. I also like how I can delete launch daemons and I am quite a power user who has things like terminal and stuff. I got the phone on iOS 6 in december 2012. Before that I had a iPod 4th gen jailbroken on ios 4 then 5 so I've had my time on it. When I had that, I remember that I updated to iOS 5 and didn't like it as it was slow and managed to downgrade to 4 as I had jailbroken on that before. Now iOS 7 has a jailbreak avaliable that means I can do all of my things on it and optimize it on my 4 and get activator. Just incase, I wanted to make sure that I could get back to iOS 6.1. So I quickly googled about SHSH blobs got tiny umbrella and tried to save my blobs accordin

Iphone 4 update to ios 7.0.6 - a wise move?
location:
apple.com - date:
March 2, 2014
I'm currently running my iphone 4 on the latest available version of ios 6. Reports from friends and colleagues who have updated their iPhone 4 and 4s to iOS 7.0 (first versions) have been strongly discouraging: Their phones became slow to the point of being useless. So, I have been happy with iOS 6.1.3 - until the SSL bug was announced, and then iOS 7.0.6. Now, does any forum member have experience with updating an iPhone 4 to iOS 7.0.6, specifically? If so, what was the outcome, in terms of speed loss?Is it wise to wait until iOS 7.1?Or is it a lost cause - just upgrade to an iPhone 5? Any other comment or suggestion to owners of older iPhones?
