iPhone 4 screen broken, but not cracked?
location:
macrumors.com - date:

Tonight a coffee cafe, I dropped my iPhone 4 from the counter to the ground, which was around six feet. (I was without a case, by the way. Coincidentally, I left the house asking if I should bring it or not.) I picked up, the phone laying screen-first. Nothing was cracked, and I put in my pocket. Afterwards, I was drinking my coffee, and I noticed the screen only showed a blue, fairly dim light. I can still receive calls, texts, and that stuff, but can't see anything.
Is this a common problem with iPhone screens breaking? I'm always careful about my devices (which, surprisingly, I'm not terribly upset about being without an iPhone. I've become addicted to it as of lately), and needed some help regarding this issue.
Should I send it into Apple for a refurbished iPhone 4, or go through a company that fixes this problem?

Help me weigh my options on a broken iphone 4 screen
location:

Bought the phone 2 days ago from ATT for the upgrade price of $200, and dropped it last night, breaking the screen. The phone works fine still just as it was before I broke the screen. I can feel the breaks when I run my finger over the screen, so it doesnt seem like it is anything underneath the screen.
What should I do? Seems like I have a few options:
- buy a new one
- repair it myself; found a bunch of video walk throughs on this and I am confident that I can do it, but I would still have to pay around $150 for the repair piece, I think
- go to ATT and Apple store and tell them I just bought it and see if they are feeling generous and want to give me a replacement
- sell it broken on ebay; seems like a lot of interest is out there in broken iphone 4s; but then I would have to buy a new one; would I be eligible for the upgrade price again?

Broken IPhone 4 Screen :(
location:

I got a text and the vibration made my iPhone 4 fall off my bed, my very tall loft bed, on to my very hard tile floor. The screen shattered and is a bit tough to use since you have to be careful of the shatters. I'm hoping to get the screen fixed soon, but I was wondering if I should go to Apple or a local screen repair? I know it's part of the Apple warranty and such to go to them, but it's so much more expensive to get it done there. Do you think since I havent had my phone but about 5 months or less they would have some sympathy and go alittle cheaper than the $199? The local repair is only $50 at the most here? Open to any other suggestions also.

Broken iPhone 4 screen and LCD
location:
macrumors.com - date:

Hi everybody! So, I have a broken iPhone 4. The screen itself and the LCD are broken. I see all of these repair kits on Amazon, and I have watched various videos on how to do it. One video in particular that is very specific with every single step. I think I can handle it, but I want to know what other people think. Should I spend 100 dollars to get it fixed by a professional, or 20 bucks and try to do it on my own? I was looking up broken iPhone 4 WITHOUT a working LCD on Ebay and they weren't worth very much. On top of this..... I see some really cool back covers for the iPhone which are not expensive at all. I am going to add one of those. Apparently they only take a few minutes to replace. So tell me what you think.. Should I try to fix it? Is it worth it? Is it a hard procedure?

Broken screen repair for IPhone 4?
location:

My wife had her iPhone 4 slip out of a pocket this evening and land screen first in the street. The screen pretty much shattered although the phone is still in perfect working order. Any idea how much it costs to get a new one put on by Apple? If we repair though them would it affect the warranty? Fortunately we kept our old 3GS phones so she can use it while being repaired.

iPhone 4 Black Screen, Power Button Also Broken
location:
apple.com - date:
April 5, 2013
I purchased my iPhone 4 two years ago, perfectly fresh and untouched. It was working fine until three days ago, when I took it out of my pocket the screen was black. It's still responsive, I can slide to unlock and hear the click, and I can receive calls. I tried restoring, which updated my iOS 5.1.1 to 6.1.3, and it worked successfully. Not a glimpse of my screen though, not even an apple logo. Since I can not enter DFU mode using my power button, I tried pwned DFU, intentionally using a corrupt IPSW file, etc. Still no dice. My phone's out of warranty, so if it's a hardware issue I might just end up throwing it away. Any help?
