If you're looking to delete a bunch of photos at once, this tip may help:
Go to the Photos app.
Switch to Photos view, and then make sure you're in the Moments view.
In the top right corner, tap "Select".
Click the "select" word next to each group of photos you want to delete.
Click the trash can.
It's not perfect, but it might be faster than individually selecting photos for some people.

Delete all photos, unavailable from iOS 7

In the Settings>General>Usage>Photos it used to be possible to swipe and delete all the photos in the photo app but this does not work in iOS 7. I have already imported them and I did not select 'delete photos on iPod'
Is there some other way to bin them all with one easy gesture. I tried creating an empty album in iPhoto and synced only to that album but it did not work for some reason.
EDIT: Solved. It seems that even after photos were imported and 'delete photos from iPod' was not selected it transpired that I was still able to select that option again anyway. So it's all good.

How do you delete photos off the iPhone?
I have an iPhone 4 running iOS 7.0.3.
About a month ago, I connected the iPhone to my Mac (running 10.8.5) and transferred all the photos to iPhoto. My daughter complained that she needed to post some of the photos on Instagram. So I used iTunes to sync those photos back to the phone (over a gig of photos and videos).
But now that she's finished with the photos, there does not appear to be any way to get those photos off of the iPhone. iPhoto does not show those photos to be on the phone. I set up iTunes to not sync any photos from iPhoto. But the photos still show up. They aren't individually deletable and I can't delete the album. (I can select the photos, but the trash can icon is grayed out).
I don't know if it's an iOS 7.0.3 problem, but that's irrelevant--I can't update to 7.0.4 because I don't have space on the phone. What can I do?

Can you help me delete imported photos from iPhone (4s) running ios 7?

I made (what appears to be) the mistake of importing photos from my PC to my new iPhone 4s using itunes. They now seem to be permanent occupants. I can select them (in the "Moments" view in the Photos app) but the trash can on lower right is always grayed out. It appears that in ios 6 they could be deleted in the Settings/General/Usage (I also synced over some music which is deletable here). Can anyone help me?
