iOS 7 Changes Mostly Cosmetic - More opportunity for Android to get further ahead?

I was afraid of this:
http://www.macrumors.com/2013/04/29/...ign-for-ios-7/
"While the look of the updated system may be surprising to some, iOS 7 is reportedly not more difficult to use than earlier versions of software platform. There is apparently no new learning curve in the same way there was no learning curve when the iPods went color. While iOS 7 does look different, its core apps and system fundamentals (like the Lock and Home screens) mostly operate in a similar fashion to how they do today."
If true, those holding out their breath for big changes to come with iOS 7 (myself included) will likely be disappointed.
What's worse is people will probably be blown away by the new look. Mix that in with Apple's "imaginative" (to put it politely) marketing, I wouldn't be surprised if peop

Mail in iOS 7 changes default mail account after entering addresses?
location:
apple.com - date:
September 26, 2013
I just noticed that the Mail app in iOS 7 changes the sent from email address from my default to another account I have after entering in the send to address. When I first create the new email the correct default email address is showing (iCloud) but after I add any send to address it changes to another account (Hotmail) as the sent from account. I checked my settings and iCloud is still set as the default account, I can click and change it before sending the email but I think this may be a bug unless there is something I missed. Anyone else have this problem?

When I set a new picture as either my home screen or lock screen wallpaper it automatically stretches it out to fit the whole screen. Does anyone know how to change this?

iOS 7 changes
location:
macrumors.com - date:

Our team is currently in the midst of building a football pool app for iOS 6. (Hopefully it'll be approved and out before the changeover happens..) With the news of iOS7 being released on Sep 10, I wanted to see what you guys think the impact could be.
The app store seems to be similar with a few aesthetics changes. The phone interface seems to be massively overhauled. There may be a number of backend changes.
Bottom line - how much rework do you guys anticipate will be required for the new OS? What will be your major concern? And how challenging do you think it will be to work with iOS7?

iOS 7 changes how we enter Recovery Mode
location:
macrumors.com - date:
July 6, 2013
Hey everyone,
From
this thread here (my reply is #20), I've discovered that iOS 7 firmware changed the method to enter the iOS device into Recovery mode.
iOS 6 (from Apple KB):
- Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
- Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
- While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
- Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. Release the Home button when you see the Recovery screen.
- Use iTunes to restore the device.
iOS 7:
- Plug in your

iOS 7 Beta 2 Bug Fixes & Changes
location:
macrumors.com - date:
June 24, 2013
No one has made one of these yet, so I'm feeling a little risky and thought I'd do it. (Don't get your panties in a knot if I'm doing something wrong )
Mine's still downloading. I'm glad the gears still spin! And over 200MB is a lot for an OTA update - what could this mean?
Update - Changes So Far:
- new Siri voice
- Reduce Motion is know referred to as "Parallax"
- Voice Memos are back: now featuring incorrect sound waves (you'd think Apple engineers might take a physics class or two?)
- New Messages.app animations : no more waddling into the thread
- Tapping on a calendar event in the Today section of Notification Center now actually takes you to that event in your calendar.
- No more status bar funkorama in old apps
- iCloud Keychain is now adoption during setup*
