Internet radio through USB

Looking to get a new car stereo. Will Pandora or Slacker streaming radio work through the usb connector to the stereo or do I have to use the 3.5mm aux input? If I can only play iPod songs through the usb then i'll probably just get one with a 3.5mm aux input.
