Apps created in XCode 4 in Xcode 2.5?
location:
imore.com - date:
October 4, 2011
I'll keep it short;
I need to security test an app made by an external company in XCode 4. My company only has access to Mac's running OS X 10.4 so I've found XCode 2.5 is the highest version of XCode I'll be able to install.
Will the files run ok that have been created in XCode 4 or will there be compatability issues?
Thanks.

iOS Xcode vs OS X Xcode
location:
apple.com - date:
November 23, 2013
I'm a Mac newbie. I'd like to give Xcode a try. I've searched the 'net, but all that I've found is example code for iOS. Is Xcode for iOS identical to Xcode for OS X? Should I search the 'net for example code for Objective-C? Is Objective-C identical to Xcode? I'd like to get some books. Should I get beginner books for Objective-C or beginner books for Xcode or does it make any difference? I have Mavericks on my Macbook Pro & Mountain Lion on my Mac mini. I've downloaded Xcode onto my laptop but not onto my mini. Thanks.David

Can I install my own home made Xcode made apps on my jailbroken iPhone?
location:
modmyi.com - date:
November 27, 2009
I've Googled and searched the forums but can't seem to find clear information on what I want to do. I have a Hackintosh with Leopard and the latest SDK (3) and it runs great. I've been building my own little apps and want to see if I can install them on my iPhone without signing up for the Apple Developer Program. Eventually I'd like to if I want to sell my apps.
I have an iPhone 3G which I jailbroke and unlocked on 3.1.2 firmware. I have OpenSSH and ******* for OS 3.1 installed.
I'm wondering if it is possible to build a project from Xcode and install and run it on my iPhone to test it. Any help would be great.

Hyperlinking a button to an URL in XCode/Interface Builder?
location:
macrumors.com - date:
October 23, 2009
I'm a novice in iPhone app programming; just bought my kit last week and pretty much learning on the fly and slowly making progress.
Unfortunately, I've hit a brick wall in regards to the following issue :
I'm working on what should be a simple app : I'm creating a "portal" app which will allow a user to click on a button in the app which will forward them to a specific URL (website). How do I get the button to link to a specific website which tapped by the end-user?
I've been researching this in vain for the past 2 days; both on Apple's site as well as Google but no luck thus far.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.

Xcode says my iPhone 3GS with 3.0 is too old.
location:
apple.com - date:
July 15, 2009
When I try to enable my iPhone 3GS, with 3.0, for development in the Organizer in Xcode, it quickly says the something like "The OS on this device is too old for iPhone development, Please update to a newer OS". And then almost immediately deletes that and says "Could not support development". This is the stock SDK with Xcode 3.1.3 for iPhone OS 3.0. Am I missing something?
