The somewhat popular video game streaming company OnLive has announced a free, streaming, virtual Microsoft Windows 7 desktop app for the iPad. The OnLive Desktop app which was announced at CES will eventually expand to other platforms, including the Mac. Users will have access to full-featured versions of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
With applications running on high-end computing clusters in OnLive’s data centers, the only thing that might hold off performance is the network you are on. This possibly means with today’s world of broadband connectivity, Windows applications running on the iPad may possible be faster than those running on a standard Windows 7 laptop.
For those of you who are interested in utilizing the service, the Desktop app will be available in a freemium model. The free version provides users with 2GB worth of cloud storage and the ab

Make sure your iPhone/iPad is jailbroken and has iFile installed before you proceed.
I know that their is another thread for this subject. But the OP isn't updated very often, and a lot of the info keeps changing. I haven't found much information on getting this to work on Windows, so I was hoping to make it easier for others by posting this guide. I was able to get the optimum app working, using the latest methods, and while using Windows 7. If you would like to get it working on a Mac, please go
here.
Setting up the VPN Server on Windows 7:
1. Windows Orb, type networking connections in the search bar and click Network Connections.
2. In Network Connections press Alt-F, and select New Incom

Mail-like app for Windows 7
location:
macrumors.com - date:

Hi,
Just wondering if any of you guys on here knew a good Mac OS X Mail-like app for Windows? I want one to work with my mobile me mail account.
I know things like outlook and thunderbird work with IMAP mail accounts, but i have tried both of them but neither follow the simplicity that Mail provides.
I don't want the client to manage my calendar or contacts, cause i can just sign into me.com or use my iphone to manage that, which is what annoys me about outlook.

Good vnc/remote app to connect to windows 7
location:
macrumors.com - date:
August 21, 2010
So, I have a pc running Win 7 connected to my tv.
I use it for videos (media. Player. Classic) and browser video like Huku or Netflix.
I have a vnc server running on it...tightvnc currently, previously ultravnc, and connect to it from one of my macs to control it.
I'd like to use my iPad.
I've tried vnc lite with some limited success. Other ones don't seem to connect at all.
For this kind of limited use, I'd prefer free or cheap apps.
Can anyone make a suggestion on how best to proceed? Either an app... Or a whole other remote system, perhaps?

Adding Ad Hoc App Through Windows 7
location:
macrumors.com - date:
February 27, 2013
i was able to do this before, now i cant install the ad hoc app through windows
it works on the mac, but i zipped it and now it stays an IPA file and isnt a .app folder.
when i add the files to the library and i try to install it it just says syncing and stops
anyone know a solution?
is it because its synced to the mac side? so it wont work on the windows side?
but i dont think thats the problem because, if i remember correctly i did all of this before.
