I am a college student and do everything on my iPad now. I take notes on my iPad, but in math I need to draw my notes. Anyone else take math notes on their iPad 2? What app works best for you? I've bought three different apps and they are difficult to use. I use a stylus to draw math notes as well. Please assist. Thanks

Best App for taking notes...
location:

Hi there folks,
I was thinking of using my iPad to take notes during meetings in work. Can anyone recommend a good application for this, paid or otherwise?
I'd be looking for something with an option to recognise my handwriting and convert to text so that I can share my notes via email.
Is this possible?
Kind regards,
Andy

Simple app for taking notes in class
location:
macrumors.com - date:

I'm looking for a note taking app that is clean and simple. The best description would be that it should be as close to a notebook as possible. I've been using the notebook view in Word 2008 for taking notes in class but it's too buggy and restricted, probably because it's more like a skin for word than a standalone app. What I need is an app that lets me write but also draw if I need to and that lets me organize my notes in different chapters or sections and then into different notebooks.
The reason why I want an app instead of a real notebook is because I take a lot of notes and don't want to carry them all. Also, my handwriting is not that legible so sharing a pdf of my computer written notes makes a lot more sense.
I've searched a lot but couldn't find exactly what I want. Can you help? Thanks!

I usually watch tutorial videos and listen audiobooks. While listening/watching I want to jot down quick notes from those. Is there any notes app which can be launched directly while watching the videos so that I can quickly write the note then close it and continue to watch the video?

Looking for a good note taking app: Are there new features for the Notes app in iOS6?
location:

Hi, I've read that the Notes app with Mountain Lion will be available for OS X as well, and I was wondering if there will be any significant updates to the Notes app coming in iOS 6? The Notes app in Mountain Lion supports, as far as I know, text formatting, images and attachments. The Notes app in iOS 5 does not have any of these features, yet still it is claimed that the OS X client will sync with the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. This means that there must be some rather significant updates coming for the Notes app in iOS 6 to match up with the features of its Mac counterpart. Still, no updates to the Notes app are listed in any of the iOS 6 feature lists I've seen so far. I'm looking for a good note taking app for OS X and iOS. I don't like how Springpad works, neither

Taking Math Notes With Tex Touch (or other app)
location:

I've got a bluetooth keyboard and an iPad I plan on using for notes in my classes, but I've found that in math class writing equations and using proper formatting can be a pain or impossible, and I don't really feel like using Penultimate would beat pencil and paper by much.
I searched around for an app that has the capabilities of entering complex math symbols and found Tex Touch. It's great and works through Dropbox but I'm not entirely clear on the use method of the app. Would it be fast enough to use to write equations compared to pencil on paper? And after doing so, all I have to do is sync to computer and compile into a pdf for reviewing/reference? Sounds pretty cool if it's fast and has a smooth export workflow.
Right now I'm trying out smartNote and seeing if the "drawing" method of entering equations works out. Judging from the app screenshots, taking math notes seems to be a use case, so I hope it works out. I'll report back with any co

Notes taking app with handwriting recognition
location:

Does anyone use a handwriting recognition app for iPad? Currently, I hand write all of my meeting notes on legal pad and then type the critical stuff into the computer and then just keep stacks of legal pads at my desk that I have to dig through to find old stuff. I was thinking if I can use a stylus to write my notes on the iPad and then turn certain items into todo lists/action items and then have a searchable history of my notes, it would be pretty damn useful. I tried penultimate from Evernote, but I'm not really liking it so much, if you rest your hand on the screen to write with the stylus, then it leaves marks on the "paper" that are annoying. I like note suite, but it does not have recognition, so I can't search my notes. There a ton of apps out there, but there doesn't seem to be a consensus on what's good, I'm kind of leaning towards notes plus (
