reported on a new iPad app from Silicon Valley startup CloudOn that seeks to offer a cloud-hosted version of Microsoft Office for the tablet device.
A number of readers have noted that the app is no longer available in the App Store, and a note posted on the company's
website indicates that it is currently "sold out".

Hopefully getting my iPad 2 soon. What is the best office type of app? I use Mac and Windows computers.
I notice there is Docs to Go, Quickoffice etc. I wont use it much, but I want to encourage my family to use it, and want a office type suite

I'm using my ipad for work in a PC based environment. A majority of my work is done in excel, PDF, word and PowerPoint. I'm using quick office pro and its a bit limited and clunky to manage. Anything better on the app market? I'm primarily looking for excel functionality. Thx!

I search for an office app on iPad.This app have to sync with dropbox.It should be also possible to edit word and excel files WITHOUT changing the format.In Excel I want to use all the normal formulas. It should open the formula which are already in there.I want to work like in office only on the iPad =)What do you think, is this possible?

Microsoft Reportedly 'Actively Working' on Office for iPad and Mac App Store

The Daily reports that Microsoft is "actively working" on bringing its Microsoft Office suite to the iPad, looking to take on Apple's iWork applications for the popular tablet device. The report also says that Microsoft is working on a updated Office for Mac suite, with the new version said to be targeted for a Mac App Store release sometime next year.
