Steve Jobs Praises App... App Gets Pulled... App Comes Back
location:

It almost sounds like a joke. But this week, an app fiasco has found its way into the headlines to the amusement of Apple critics confounded by the occasional App Store application debacle.
On Monday, Steve Jobs utilized his WWDC keynote address to cover a considerable amount of territory. He even found time time to direct a few playful barbs at the App Store himself. During the presentation, however, Jobs alluded to one particular RSS reader to reference an example of a truly outstanding iPad application. But less than 24 hours after the WWDC kick-off and off-the-cuff app plug, the App Store yanked the Steve Jobs-endorsed application.
The app in question is an RSS reader from Alphonso Labs called "Pulse." The $3.99 RSS reader app pools news stories from a variety of sources and presents one nifty little "mosaic." But after the Steve Jobs plug, Apple quic

Nook App - Free "Steve Jobs" book?
location:
macrumors.com - date:
August 30, 2012
I just downloaded the Nook app on my iPhone, and logged in. When I did there were 3 books in my library that had download icons - National Geographic, another book that I can't remember, and Steve Jobs. I deleted the first 2, and clicked down on Jobs, figuring it was going to ask me for payment. Nope, nothing - and now the book is on my phone. Am I missing something?

Does anyone know what the education app is that was highlighted during Steve Jobs press release for the ipad 2? It showed a child in a classroom tracing a number or letter outline; and it looked like chalk when he traced it.

Hugh Hefner Takes Aim at Steve Jobs Over Censored iPad App

Just one more example of us i(whatever) owners not being able to do what we want with our idevices. Come on live in the times we are in Jobs. I don't even like Playboy but damn charge me hundreds of dollars for your product and then tell me what i can and cannot do with it. WTF? Playboy in my opinion is no where near pornographic anyway more like nude modeling. Hell you could go into a museum and see way more nudity, but there's an adult only sign above those exibits right?
Whats next an iOS update that blocks all explicit content from being viewed in safari? Or no syncing pornographic material to your iTunes?

Steve Jobs intervenes, approves Knocking streaming video app
location:
imore.com - date:
December 1, 2009
Here's a snip:
The impassioned pleas of one developer e-mailed to Steve Jobs resulted in a quick reversal of his app's rejection. The launch of the app today is the first known approved app that can stream live video directly from one iPhone to another, and the first approval for an app with known use of private APIs. Apple's change of heart came "directly from the top," and is a sign that real change in the App Store approval process is in the works.
I can't post links yet, so go to arstechnica dot com slash apple slash news and it should be the first story titled: Steve Jobs intervenes, approves Knocking streaming video app

I dont know how or why this is happening, but when I get a message on my phone that there are apps to be updated, if I try to update it on my iphone, and I prompted for my itunes password, somehow, under Itunes password it gives "
[email protected]
/* */
" instead of my itunes address!!
If I update on Itunes it is fine and if I buy an app through the app store, it is also fine. Anyone know why this is and how to fix it??
