On Wednesday, App Annie reported that Google Play still lags behind Apple’s iOS App Store when it comes to revenue generation.
According to App Annie, iOS App Store revenue is now more than double that of Google Play's.
From Q4 2012 to Q1 2013, iOS App Store quarterly revenue grew by roughly one-quarter. Meanwhile, Google Play app revenue grew by roughly 90%. While Google Play had the higher growth rate, the iOS App Store gained more in absolute revenue and earned about 2.6x that of Google Play in Q1.
In a “booming global app economy,” App Annie reports, “the United States leads iOS App Store revenue growth, while Japan and South Korea drive Google Play revenue growth."
Not surprisingly, games remain the leading dr

App Annie: Revenue Gap Between App Store and Google Play Continues to Get Smaller
location:
modmyi.com - date:
November 30, 2012
As many of you may already know, Apple’s App Store has been the undisputed revenue king since its creation; however its enormous lead is quickly beginning to shrink. The argument that many previously brought up over the iOS platform having a gigantic edge over Android is becoming moot as Google’s Play revenue continues to grow rapidly. According to the industry leader in app store analytics and marketing, App Annie, Google Play’s revenues have skyrocketed roughly 311% in the last year compared to the App Store’s more conservative 12.9%. Many of us have probably heard of the argument that having a large collection of apps means nothing if they’re crap and not making their developers any money, however that no longer seems to be the case either with Google Play, as it’s becoming quite obvious that the Play store is in fact making money and doing so at an increasing rate.

App Store Earned Record Revenue in December 2012, Did Much Better Than Google Play
location:

Android and iOS are both very popular in today’s mobile operating system market, however in terms of application store revenue, iOS’ App Store appears to have the most potential for revenue. According to App Annie, a statistics and insights service, the App Store saw over 3.5x the revenue of the Google Play Store in December of 2012. Both the App Store and Google Play Store see record sales in December, however.
Apple’s App Store has more than
800,000 applications, 300,000 of which are made for the iPad alone. In October of 2012, the Google Play Store reached the same number of applications as are available in the App Store. Seeing as the two application stores are neck and neck in content, the number of applications isn’t one of

Google Play Gains Ground, Still Remains Far from Apple's App Store
location:

A recently released report from Distimo, a company that provides mobile app store analytics for developers shows that revenue for the Android based Google Play store is up. Previously, in November of 2012, revenue from Google Play made up only 19% of combined total revenue between the Apple App Store and Google Play. However by this past April (2013), Google Play’s share had increased by 8%, now making up 27% of the combined total revenue of the two stores. Apple still continues to lead the market with 74% of the combined total revenue though.
The report also tried to look further into whether app developers were finding it hard to monetize apps in the Google Play store. Google Play features a large number of successful free apps but trails behind Apple in the number of successful paid apps. The growth of “freemium” gaming, where a free game is augmented with in-

Google Play Catching iOS App Store in Download Volume, but iOS Still Dominating Revenue
location:

App Annie today released its
latest data on mobile app downloads, finding that continued momentum for Android has allowed the Google Play marketplace to nearly match Apple's App Store in download volume. But while Google Play is making great strides in generating revenue for developers from these downloads, the App Store remains far out in front, indicating that iOS device users in general remain much more willing to pay for content than Android users.

Google Music is not very efficient running as a tab in Safari. It gets lost. So I decided to put something together in Fluid and tweak the CSS a bit to make it less Google and more about the music.
So first off this is your desired result. It lets you enjoy the nice full moving artwork eye candy too :
To start, you want a copy of Fluid, which you can buy here:

Is Google Play App selection really that bad?
location:
macrumors.com - date:
October 30, 2012
I am not talking about the tablet optimised/phone optimised apps, just the general selection of apps available.
I keep seeing posts that say that there is poor selection on Google compared to Apple, but are they really that bad
I started using iOS when the first iPod Touch came out, and still use it occasionally on my 4th Gen iPod Touch
Since moving to Android at the end of last year I have found apps for everything I wanted todo
Anyone else think the selection on Goole Play is good or am I in a minority
