Problem ordering from Amazon using Amazon iPad App
location:
macrumors.com - date:
October 27, 2010
Using both new and old Amazon app, when I press "Two Day Free" to buy an item, my order instead shows up as one day deliver and I'm charged for shipping. This only happens on iPad, not website. Amazon customer service is stumped. Anybody here ever experience this?

Amazon Releases Cloud Reader Web App, Sidesteps Apple's App Store Fee
location:
modmyi.com - date:
August 10, 2011
Amazon released their Kindle Cloud Reader Web App designed for use with iPads and a few select web browsers, in an effort to sidestep Apple's in-app purchase requirements.
Amazon has managed to produce a very competent web app, providing Kindle readers a seamless and infinitely easy buying and reading experience. As Wired points out, it may in fact be too easy. Buying and reading books may completely avoid registering on your expenses radar until it's too late.
However, despite its ease of use, there are a number of features missing for users familiar with their native Kindle apps. Wired put together a great list of the downsides to the Cloud Reader, the main one being Amazon ignored a majority of the web. The Cloud Reader only works on Chrome and Safaric browsers (Mac and PC), and Safari on the iPad.
Wired's "Incomplete" List:

App Developer Asked to Remove Amazon Cloud Music App
location:
modmyi.com - date:
November 1, 2011
Amazon offers a music-in-the-cloud service.
An app developer for the Apple App Store, Interactive Innovative Solutions (IIS), was forced to remove their aMusic app because of legal problems with the company and industry. The app was a violation to the music industry apparently. What it enabled users to do was stream music off of their Amazon cloud account to any iDevice. The app functioned similarly to Spotify, where you can stream music in the online library as if it were in your iPod library. The only difference between this and Spotify is that you only would have been able to stream the music that you owned. Where in Spotify you can stream anything (with a monthly fee, that is).
The music industry's beef seems to be with the streaming. They hate the idea that users can freely stream music without being able to make money on it. With services like iCloud, you cannot s

App for That: How to track Amazon prices
location:
imore.com - date:
September 5, 2011
Kirk has sent us an email looking for an app to track prices on Amazon and other websites.
I was wondering if there is a "non-subscription" based price tracker app. To for instance watch the price for a product on Amazon to know when it drops. Like for their deal of the days and such. Other sites would also be a plus, though my main interest is for Amazon, it would be useful for those slightly more expensive items.
Anyone have any suggestions for Kirk? Thanks!

Amazon Launches iPad Kindle Store Web App
location:
modmyi.com - date:
January 10, 2012
Amazon launched the touch-optimized Kindle Store for iPad as a standalone web app today. This web app is accessed through the iOS Mobile Safari browser and has proved to be a seamless experience for iPad owners. This web app is an entirely different experience from the
Kindle Cloud Reader, which was another good web app released this past August.
For those of you who are interested in trying the web app, click
here (on your iPad). The web interface feels very smooth and elegant, much like a refined native app. It has support for familiar touch gestures such as swiping left and right to browse the store’s virtual shelves. The design offers large cover images, buttons,
